love notes...

I have a drawer filled with lots of little love notes that I have saved over the years. You know, the ones where people tell me how much they love me, and say really nice things about me. It doesn't even matter if what they have said isn't always true or not, these notes always make me feel good, and always put a smile on my face! Most of them, I would say, are from my children. Little treasures they have drawn or written over the years for mother's day, or other occasions! This drawer is where I come when I need to smile, or laugh, or feel loved...you know on those days when things aren't quite right with the world.

Anyway, I got to add a couple of sweet notes to my drawer this week and it inspired me to make a goal to send at least one of these "love notes" to someone each week. At times we are a little stingy about giving compliments or even showing love. But it is always easy to show love, and give compliments in a note. We all need to be loved or appreciated or reminded how wonderful we are from time to time. And there is always someone I can think of to send some sunshine to. Once a week.

AND, my thanks to those of you who have showered me with love over the years...you still might be making my day:).

What a great idea. There have been so many times that I've thought...I need to write a little note or a thank you to this person or that...and then life gets crazy and I forget, or too much time passes. You've inspired me!
It's no wonder that your love note drawer is full... You are amazing!

Sorry I missed this particular blog - it is a little delayed. But, I think this is the best idea!

And, I love to see updates of your parents. I have wonderful memories of your dad leading our stake when I was a growing up.

P.S. missed ya at Derrick's 50 birthday party. Lisa and I were there and hoping to say hello.
