top ten happenings of the second week of december!

1- the twelve days of Christmas fairy found out we were leaving town and ruined her plans of bringing over our "very cute", "very perfect" bunker/gardineer family one person at a time, so she came over in person yesterday, and delivered them all at once! i soooo, sooooo very much love these cute little people. i introduced them to lauren last night, and she went over and over who everyone was. this adorable little family will be a treasure forever! thank you so much suzanne!!!!

this picture shows a few more details of the hairlines (: there are such cute details on them!

i am hesitant to list all of the miraculous things that have occurred for me this past week for fear others will be jealous or feel behind. but, since we leave town tuesday morning and don't return until the 23rd, late, i have to be ready. and when you have to be ready, things seem to fall into place. any other december though, and all of these happenings would be nothing short of miraculous!

2- i am finished with my shopping! my gifts are wrapped and under the tree!

3- my salsa is made and delivered!

4- my christmas cards have been mailed!

5- it was open house at the dance studio this past week. i was able to go and video megan in an amazing lyrical and jazz class. i am always stunned at what my girls know, and what their bodies can do, and how strong they are (the lyrical warm-up was totally HARD, i have never seen an ab workout like it!), and how quickly they can learn a combination, and how much i love to watch them express themselves thru their dance! (that was a long sentence:)!)

6- i went with the priests and laurels to an assisted living center to share carols, talents, a story and some visiting! i love elderly people! a person gets a lot in return, when they try to give something of themselves to the elderly. it was such a fun evening. a couple of the young men played a great piano duet and the residents could hardly believe two boys could be so talented. all of the kids were great with the old folks:). it is a very happy memory!

7- my mother gave me some of her delicious peanut brittle! one of my favorite things about christmas!

8- i got to hear my favorite singer of all time, my husband, sing friday night at the ward christmas party! another christmas favorite! (he can still bring it!, even though he is fifty!)

9- hailey's health and p.e. teacher called jon. it was to tell him what a great student and person hailey is, and how much he loves being able to teach her. i was impressed with mr. hill when i met him at open house. i felt comfortable that he would be teaching my daughter about 8th grade sex education, and he didn't let me down. he has helped hailey love this first semester of 8th grade. i'm thinking i should call the school, and give someone there a good report about him, if he took the time to call us and give us a good report about our daughter! hmmm...things to do monday...

10- i am happy. i haven't really felt stressed. i have actually really enjoyed this past week! last week's note to self must have really worked. i truly believe this was a christmas miracle! i think i am almost ready to leave for cancun, and enjoy a week of being with my family...i can't wait...it is supposed to snow in las vegas...can you believe we will be sitting on the beach getting sunburned? don't be too jealous!

FYI...Mr. Hill & I went to school together - Bonanza! He was actually Kenny's friend but it was crazy when Riley came home & told me about his teacher at school & that he knew me. Anyway, he has an amazing story. great guy.

Your week sounded fabulous & I'm jealous that you're so relaxed... there's just something "non-x-massy" about being that put together so soon in the season!!! ;)

Oh Cancun....my favorite!! I think we will have to make a run for the border as soon as we get our missionary off. (It will take away those wonderful,
yet lonesome feelings of leaving a son at the MTC.
Hope you have a wonderful time in Cancun and thanks for the yummy salsa. We all ate it in about 5 minutes!!
