this is a picture of my street today/tonight at 5.
it is purely dark.
in another month, it will be dark at 4:30.
that does something to a person's brain!
the kids think it is dinner time.
they have to wait another hour and a half.
the theory of getting another hour of sleep...blows.
my body just wakes up, and the clock tells me it is an hour earlier, so i feel like i haven't slept in.
i get exhausted an hour earlier, so it is harder to do the things i love to do late at night.
LAS VEGAS SHOULD NOT CHANGE TIMES!!!
is it written in the constitution or something?
can't we do anything to change this mistake?

I am soooo with you! it's depressing really to have it be so dark so soon. I hate coming out of church & finding it dark (& soon to be cold) outside. I'll whine with you....
But our Grandkids look good in any light...so there is your happy thought!
With you here too! We might get a few more minutes of evening light than you, but not enough to make a difference. When we change times I feel like we should go into hibernation and wake up around the 1st of March. I want to do nothing but cuddle in a warm blanket, eat rich, creamy, bad for you soup that someone else besides me has made.

You should move to Arizona. We don't observe daylight savings time. It's nice.

In Arizona it always stays the same! I love it! We never have to worry about how to change the clocks! Don't you know someone that can do something about that?

good grief! 'anonymous' thinks Heavenly Father created daylight savings time!
anyway, i tried year before last to contact every one of our congress members about this. half didn't answer. bob beers said he put it into committee, but it didn't come out and the rest of them said that we do it for those california tourists!! i said look, the tourists are on vacation and could care less what time it is and i (a local) get mad every day at 4:30! maybe if y'all blanket congress this year (and every year) with requests-talk about your grass roots! love ya, love the blog, your blog stalker, patt
FYI - Here's the actual essay that benjamin Franklin wrote that convinced everyone to do DST. its actually pretty funny. (make sure when you read it, you are aware of his very sarcastic and dry humor).
